Custom Millwork

A collage of projects worked on over the years. Pictures showcase the breadth of
experience and the quality of workmanship brought to each project.

#1  22 feet from the floor to the peak of the ceiling. Everything in solid mahogany including a large cupola located above the large lamp. This is situated above the kitchen in picture #6.

#2  Solid mahogany walls built with stiles and rails and infilled with floating raised panels. 20,000 board feet of mahogany seamlessly assembled with no visible fasteners.

#3  One of six hammer trusses for a great room built hollow to contain wiring, lighting, fire suppression lines etc. Middle picture is the truss in place 18 months later. Note the bottoms of the posts. A closed end creates the illusion of a solid piece of timber.

#4 Wooden clockworks of laminated solid walnut. Dozens of jigs were made to produce this clock. This clock - one of 4 different styles produced - is in a private collection.

#5 A beautiful coffered ceiling done in mahogany. The moldings in the round section were a machining challenge.

#6 This kitchen, with 10’ tall cabinets, includes almost 100 carvings, pilasters with flutes that waterfall into reeds, acorn butt hinges, separate fridge and freezer units behind wooden doors, open plate rack, furniture kicks, and curved crown molding.

#7 Part of a library in a private residence done in solid walnut and book-matched walnut veneers. Shelves have built-in lighting. At the top of the picture, you see part of the barrel ceiling which contains an oval skylight.

#8  A jewelry box with sides of solid walnut and marquetry completed with 6 different species of veneer.
